# Location Is the Story: Designing the DARAH Real Estate Website

> How the DARAH real estate website in Riyadh turns location into its strongest argument, and why its social media was designed with the same system as the site.

There is an old saying in real estate: location, location, location. Yet most property websites hide location in a map at the bottom of the page, after the renders, the amenities and the brochure download.

When I designed the website for DARAH, a real estate developer in Riyadh, we turned that around. For a project like Hittin Front, in the Hittin neighborhood, where it is matters more than almost anything else, so the website says it first and says it clearly.

Here is how location, a project portfolio and a consistent brand shaped the DARAH real estate website design. The full project is in the [DARAH case study](https://aminuix.com/case-study/darah-real-estate).

## Say It in Numbers

The Hittin Front page opens with "In the heart, in the middle of everything" and a list of travel times set in large numerals: 2 minutes to Riyadh Boulevard, 3 to Boulevard World, 5 to Diriyah Gate, 8 to Al-Bujairi and 10 to King Abdullah Financial Center.

This is not only a style choice. Nielsen Norman Group's eyetracking research shows that [numbers written as numerals attract the eye](https://www.nngroup.com/articles/web-writing-show-numbers-as-numerals/), even in text people otherwise skim, because digits signal facts and stand out in peripheral vision. "2 min" is read in a glance; "a short drive away" is not.

## Show the Life, Then the Facts

Numbers persuade, but people buy a way of living. So the photography shows Hittin Front as it is lived: children playing in shaded courtyards, families on benches among the greenery, sandstone walls in the evening light. The brand line, "Where vision meets legacy in modern living", sits over that scene on the home page.

Right next to the photography, an About the Project card answers the practical questions: location, unit types, areas and construction progress. Emotion and evidence share the same screen, which covers two of the [credibility factors](https://www.nngroup.com/articles/trustworthy-design/) NN/g describes: design quality and up-front disclosure.

## A Portfolio, Not a List

DARAH builds more than one kind of place, so the Project Selection section treats its developments as a curated gallery: numbered, named and photographed (Arcelia Villa, Darah Hills, Darah Village), with a short line on how each one turns land into a residential, commercial or mixed-use destination.

Each project then has its own detail page, and the services page explains what DARAH offers beyond building: real estate development, marketing, investment and auctions.

## One Brand on the Website and on Instagram

Buyers often meet a developer on social media before they ever visit its website. NN/g's research on [cross-channel experiences](https://www.nngroup.com/articles/available-cross-channel/) names consistency as one of the qualities people expect when they move between channels.

So I designed DARAH's social media templates with the same system as the site: deep green and bronze, the angled line motif, the same photography and the same two languages. "Architecture reimagined" and "Luxury is at the core of our vision" read the same on a post as on a project page, and the move from Instagram to the website feels like turning a page, not changing companies.
